RSDAN aims to reach its objectives through effectively
implementing various development projects. The organization
has the concept of development only when people first have
their basic needs of food, accommodation, and living place.
Therefore, RSDAN runs various training programs to the local
people to bring their local resources in use. This helps
the local people earn money they need to have their basic
needs fulfilled. Goat keeping and pig keeping are other
income generating programs it runs. The organization has
the program of donating furniture, lab equipment, stationery
goods, and providing financial support to schools. It also
directly helps the students with poor economic background
thereby providing them with tuition and other school fee,
stationery goods, and school uniform. Financial help is
assured to such students to further their education in the
city after school. It mobilizes its staff and volunteers
to speak to the people about literacy and involve them in
its adult literacy program. It publishes different leaflets
containing information on AIDS, which help understand the
disease clearly. Then, the people become aware of it. Opening
schools is another job of RSDAN. Nepal is a culturally diverse
country. Indigenous cultures, local values and customs give
the identity of people where they are from and how far they
are civilized. So, they are to be protected. RSDAN organizes
cultural programs from time and again to support this philosophy.
It provides medical supplies to health posts, and carries
out programs to provide rural people with clean and pure
drinking water. Deforestation problem is very high in Nepal.
Landslide is thus common. Planting trees and protecting
the forests are the organization's activities to keep the
local environment clean and safe.
